This short article centers around the intersectionality of race, gender, and physical physical physical violence within the everyday lives of Black/Afro-Latinas that have skilled youth intimate punishment. First, the trauma is discussed by us of slavery, racism, and colonization in Latin America plus the Caribbean, which objectifies Ebony figures and renders Blackness invisible. Second, we identify institutional and interpersonal barriers to trauma support that is seeking. Third, we provide preliminary findings from a Listening group among survivors whom took part in the Ebony Latinidad: Building Siblinghood to finish Child Sexual Abuse Project. Finally, we propose a racially and culturally certain, trauma-informed approach that attracts from the skills of survivors and centralizes their sounds and exactly how to intervene.
